Bioorthogonal Chemistry

Chemistry has made enormous contributions to modern life sciences. The conference will illustrate the breadth of chemical approaches in biology, medicine, and materials science. Topics covered will range from new reactions for modifying and labelling biomolecules in vitro to tagging and imaging in living cells using reactive probes. Xenobiology, orthogonal metabolism, new biomaterials, and novel chemical strategies for assigning function to molecules on the whole cell / organism scale (e.g. proteomics, lipidomics, RNomics) are further areas of interest.
