Nanocrystals

Nanocrystals are material crystals with a size below 1 μm. They possess different properties when compared to bulk material and belong to the most successful formulation principles to overcome poor bioavailability of poorly soluble actives. 

The seminar - held by experts in pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical nanotechnology – will introduce into the field of nanotechnology in healthcare and cosmetics. The special features of nanocrystals and their methods of production will be explained. The main focus of the seminar is the characterization of the nanoparticles, i.e. size analysis, zeta potential measurements and toxicological aspects.
